Burlington Lyons Catholic Community

Immaculate Conception (St. Mary), St. Joseph, St. Charles Borromeo, united in proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ through His saving death and resurrection, by calling, forming, and sending disciples to go out and make new disciples. As a people, we are called to encounter Jesus and grow as disciples through the sacramental life of the church.

NEWS & EVENTS

TEENS FOR TLC

Help support our local homeless women and children!
Concerned high school students, with support from our Burlington-Lyons Catholic Community, will walk to raise awareness and funds for TLC. The Transitional Living Center provides women & children with temporary shelter and basic necessities. They help women gain skills to become self-sufficient, employed, & independent. Teens for TLC will walk on the White River Trail, from Spring Valley Road to St. Joseph Church in Lyons. They will have a prayer service for the specific needs of the women & children at TLC. This is a great learning opportunity but, more importantly, a chance to improve the lives of our neighbors.

RCIA COMPANION
Would you like to accompany someone joining the Catholic Church through the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults?  Some of the many ways this can be done include: sponsoring a candidate/catechumen, praying for them, or inviting the candidate to a parish social event or devotion such as Eucharistic Adoration or Stations of the Cross. For more information, please contact Colleen Schiltz at [email protected].

Eucharistic Revival

The Burlington/Lyons Catholic Community, along with the Archdiocese of Milwaukee is officially participating in the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' (USCCB) call to have a movement of “Eucharistic Revival” across the nation. We are joining countless bishops, dioceses, parishes, and apostolates to be healed, converted, formed, and unified by an encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist — and sent out in mission “for the life of the world.” The mission of the Revival is “to renew the Church by enkindling a living relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist.”  We invite you to read The Mystery of the Eucharist in the Life of the Church, written by the US Conference of Catholic Bishops.
