Cemeteries

From the earliest days of Christianity, special burial places were set aside and considered sacred - a place of rest for all who have gone before us in faith. Burial in a Catholic cemetery is a statement of continued belief in Christ's words, "I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die." (John 11:25)

Catholics, their non-catholic spouses, children, parents, and other relatives as well as friends of Catholics may be buried in a Catholic cemetery.
