Receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation

First Communion / Eucharist
The first time one receives the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist, which is one of the central focuses of the Church.

Adults wishing to receive First Communion should sign up for our RCIA program. Children in our school and REP (Religious Education Program) are prepared for this sacrament in second grade. We want children experiencing the first Eucharist to have a complete understanding of what it is they are receiving, thus prepared for the first Eucharist to start the year before they are to receive the sacrament. Parents should have their children enrolled in Faith Formation classes by 1st grade. Once these children are prepared, they receive their first Communion in early May.
